"Bangladesh was amongst the earliest markets in the region to embrace technology. For example, the Grameen Village Phones and the Pacific Bangladesh CDMA network are amongst the oldest in the region. The country today is focused on developing its infrastructure and we at Cisco are committed to helping the government and other organizations here with their networking needs," said Manoj Chugh, President - India & SAARC, Cisco Systems.

"Bangladesh is a critical part of Cisco's India & SAARC region. Today with service providers planning to expand their networks and enterprises investing in networking technologies and solutions, we believe there are tremendous synergies that Cisco can contribute to. In order for Cisco to become a true partner to Bangladesh, we need to establish strong sales, service and support presence there," said Sudhir Narang, Vice President, Cisco Systems India.
